A Long Walk Home
http://www.alongwalkhome.org/

A Long Walk Home (ALWH) is a non-profit organization that uses a blend of art therapy and the visual and performing arts to end violence against women and girls. ALWH created an institute called Girl/Friends Leadership Institute where teenage girls are trained to be leaders, peer advocates, and peer educators in their community in the movement to end sexual violence. I was the primary art therapist at ALWH and the following are examples of art directives I used as interventions for individual and group therapy.
